cascading stars on the slumbering hills
they are dancing as far as the sea
riding o'er land, you can feel its gentle hand
leading on to its destiny

One of the legendary knights of Arthur's Round Table, Gwaine is not quite a Sir... Yet.

As the son of a knight who was killed in battle, Gwaine left Caerleon after witnessing the greed of its nobility and has since tried to avoid all nobles as often as possible.

To the eye, he's nothing more than a drunken flirt and vagabond who never stays in one place for very long. He hasn't many friends, making enemies more often than not by throwing himself into battles that aren't necessarily his to fight. He also has a few monetary debts that need to be paid. He's working on those. "Wrong place, wrong time, wrong drink," he says to the troubles he finds himself in.

Maybe one day he will find a reason to stay, but, for now, he's happy with the way he leads his life, generally seen as lighthearted and with a good, sharp sense of humour.

Gwaine appears as he is portrayed by Eoin Macken in the series. Dark-haired, a bit scruffy and rough around the edges. His clothes are patch-worked and he can generally be seen with a sword on his person. And with a tankard of mead in hand. His most treasured possession is the ring, baring his family crest, worn on a chain around his neck.

He is skilled as a swordsman and in unarmed combat.
